I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope this year finds you well, and enjoying a good meal with your loved ones! :)
Given that I had some time this holiday vacation, I figured I should give you an update on the site. Initially,
I had been hoping to arrange my vacation in such a way that I would have 9 consecutive days off which I could
spend leisurely in a coding marathon to knock out the to-do list I have for the site, whip up and distribute some
promotional materials about the great free stuff to be had, as well as spend some good
awkward quality time with the family over a tofu-rkey dinner.
Unfortunately, the Vacation time was denied. The 9 days off was reduced to 5. This isn't too terrible; I can still
work with this. However, fate had other plans. The day before the vacation was to start, I headed to the gym.
This probably was not a good idea while suffering from mild 'allergies', but I needed a break from the office.
Naturally, I promptly (and rather severely) pulled a muscle in my upper back while working out; and to add insult
to injury the 'allergies' turned into a full blown cold. So now it only hurts when I move. Or breathe. The first
day of this vacation has been spent bedridden, overdosing on orange juice, and enjoying a cocktail of pain and
cold medicine.
Let us not forget the happy hallucinations of joy should the blessed angle of sleep come to take
us away (insert clip from Silent Hill here). Weeee. That said, the updates to
the site will probably be a little delayed.
