Hey Everyone!
FreeMesa has been live for a little over a year now, and the growth has been pretty spectacular.
We have grown from 1 community in one town to over 5,600 communities in 51 countries in just over
a year! What's even more impressive is that it looks like we are right on target with our goal
to help build communities.
We did some research into who is actually using FreeMesa, and the results
were rather surprising. It looks like most of the users of FreeMesa are young families - most of our
membership is female (71%), under 35 (60%), with children (76%). So when you post an offer on FreeMesa,
chances are your item is going to a home that could really use it.
iPhones and Free Stuff!
Another thing that's pretty exciting is that our growth and success has not gone unnoticed. An organization that wishes to remain anonymous has
donated quite a few brand new consumer electronics to FreeMesa. Including 2 brand new iPhones! We appreciate their support very much. We thought
about the best way to share these with you, and thought it might be fun to have a contest. By sending invitations to join FreeMesa to your friends
or by posting stuff to freecycle you will earn points. At the end of the contest (Nov 15th), the person with the most points wins an iPhone. Also,
each point you have enters you in the drawings for the 2nd iPhone, 4 MP3 players, and 8 CD Players. In all we're giving away 14 different brand
new items!
